New Customer Acquisition
New customer acquisition in a new market area for digital marketing services company. Used data mining approach for prospecting and prioritizing cold call list. Reduced target group 75% using automated prospecting tools (software robots) and processes. This automated data-centric approach improved sales efficiency with excellent accuracy of contact, the so-called hit rate.

Data-Driven Vision Development
Technology and business advisor for born global logistics startup working on prototype phase. Helped the startup with creation of data-driven vision, funding negotiations strategy, establishing an Advisory Board, providing contacts and reviewing plans.
Company successfully closed the first round funding and is gaining a good trajectory. I was officially invited to company’s Advisory Board in 2018.
Tools & Vendor Strategy
As the EDA Manager of Nokia Technologies, introduced new EDA tools and vendor strategy to support fast organizational growth with sustainable cost. Pitched the strategy proposal to business executives and CEO and got it approved. Gained multi-million euro savings to company while massively improved productivity.
New Customer Acquisitions
2009 – 2010
Negotiated and closed major IT & PLM application deals with globally operating industrial customers. Acquired several new customers to principals.
In 2010 I negotiated and closed a 6-figures Red Hat deal to a major international industrial company operations in Finland. Probably the biggest independent Red Hat reseller deal in Finland in 2010.
Sales Representative & Partner Agreements
Negotiated and signed an exclusive partner agreement with Swedish distributor GATEline AB for EDAnova to act as the sales representative and first-line contact on the Finnish market for world leading Cadence Allegro & OrCAD EDA software products.
Furthermore I signed several other reseller and partner agreements between EDAnova and many world leading brands like Microsoft, Red Hat, HP and Dell to name some.
Startup founder, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director. I was responsible for business development plans and leading funding negotiations with business angels and public funds. Succesfully completed 1st seed funding round with Tekes and Finnvera public funds just before global financial crisis in 2008, after which things got much more complicated. We had to focus on survival and pivoted more towards IT sales and services.
Company bankrupted in 2014 after several unhappy coincidents and loss of a major deal and customer. I handled all the closing practicalities with the liquidator.
EDAnova -Business Idea Development
I started developing my own EDA business idea in the spring 2007 while still working at Nokia. I landed to Technopolis Ventures incubation program and started building the idea and the team with their help.
As a part of these early phase activities I approached the EDA industry veteran and legendary EDA Analyst in USA, Gary Smith. We had some telephone sessions together. I presented him my idea and plans and he provided a review of them together with market analysis and some suggestions. Circle got kind of closed when I met him personally in Design Automation Conference 2014 in San Francisco, about a year before he passed away. Personally I’m very proud of this brief moment to work together with Gary, one of the legendary EDA industry veterans.
